Juanes 1After waiting for so long, we could finally enjoy the most loving weekend of the year! Juanes 5On Saturday November 15th as part of the annual “Quiereme Como Soy”, thousands of people crowded the legendary Altos de Chavón Amphitheater to be part of a concert full of love, where the Colombian singer-songwriter Juanes had us all singing and dancing along with his greatest hits. The concert started around 9:00 pm with words of gratitude from Oscar Villanueva, president of the Fundación Quiéreme Como Soy, who then gave way to DJ Korduroy, who put on a good music repertoire, which prepared everyone for the big show. Later on, with approximately 5,000 people in the Altos de Chavón amphitheater, a very hyped atmosphere and great lighting, the Colombian singer-songwriter made his way up the stage, singing approximately 20 of his most renowned hits and some of his most recent songs. DJ Juanes 6The audience immediately provided support for Juanes singing together for about two hours most of the songs including; Gotas de Agua Dulce, A Dios Le Pido, Es Por Ti… Flor, Mala Gente and to end the show, one of his best hits Camisa Negra. At the end of the concert, a group of adorable special needs children with Down syndrome and Autism, took the stage to give a big surprise to the singer, giving all the love, care and tenderness that overflows from their hearts. Tears came to our eyes as we heard their humble declarations of love, “I love you Juanes, Juanes I love you”. As part of the show, a video was presented about the campaign “Quiereme Como Soy”, which showed the testimonies of families explaining how their lives have changed after joining the foundation, and urging people to not feel sorry for people with these learning disabilities, but rather to not mistreat or discriminate against them, to treat them as equals. ¡Como te quiero a ti, quiereme como soy! I love you for who you are, love me for who I am! Juanes 3 Thanks to Juanes and to the foundation “Quiéreme Como Soy” for giving us one night where equality and love shone above all else. ¡Como te quiero a ti, quiereme como soy!
