Casa de Campo Real Estate (CDCRE) Market Update
Casa de Campo housing market reported rising closed sales volume of 62% and a decrease of 2% in the total number of transactions on a year over year comparison report for August 29. This report is according to the latest housing data released by Casa de Campo Real Estate research department in partnership with Costasur. The only exclusive real estate office for Casa de Campo.
Home closed sales volume is up 9% with the best in sales was the $500,000 – $1m price range. Sellers received less of their original asking price at the closing table: sellers of existing homes received 72% of listing price down 11% from last year. This confirms that listing prices need to be reduced to receive closer to listing price. Please speak to one of our associates to price your home correctly for the 2017 season.
Buyers are finding strong value in buying a condo and are receiving 94% of the listing price even with a decrease in volume sales. The best seller was the 1 bedroom units.
Land sales is the winner with an over 100% increase in sales volume. The high volume in sales is due to many oceanfront sales. Best seller was the $250,000 – $500,000 price range.
