The Hogar del Niño Weekend is THIS weekend! We will have a chance to enjoy with friends and family a fabulous weekend filled with activities on behalf of the children of the Hogar del Niño AND celebrate the 20th edition of this event! This 20th anniversary edition is from Friday, February 17th to Saturday the 18th. Two full days of events you certainly don’t want to miss.
“We have been celebrating together for 20 years along with families and friends of our community, achieving positive changes in the lives of the most vulnerable children of La Romana, thanks to the support of so many people and companies that contribute to our event every year,” said Xiomara Menéndez, PBO President. “Just like previous years we will have activities for the whole family, sports tournaments that seek to promote the integration of everyone, and at the same time allows you to support hundreds of children and guarantee a better future for them.”

Tour of the Hogar del Niño Facilities
You will be able to visit the Hogar del Niño facilities, see what their daily routine, and the children you are helping to achieve their dreams.

Homes and Gardens Tour
A tour through the most beautiful and enchanting Casa de Campo homes & gardens to raise funds for the Hogar del Niño.

Concert for the Kids
A special concert to be celebrated in La Marina Yacht Club as part of the activities of the Hogar del Niño Weekend. The group Enclave will be in charge of getting us into the groove with their tropical music repertoire – salsa, merengue, and even some American songs!

Golf Tournament
The annual Hogar del Niño Weekend Tournament features two tee times in order for everyone to be able to participate and includes dinner.

The annual Hogar del Niño Weekend Dinner Dance Party serves as the closing event, and features an awards ceremony for the various tournaments that took place earlier in the day. And includes lots of dancing, of course!

Join in on all the fun of the Hogar del Niño weekend – here’s the schedule of events and activities:
The Hogar del Niño is a children’s daycare and educational center for over 1500 children, located in La Romana town, just outside of Casa de Campo. Children from as young as just a few weeks old up to 18 years old are cared for and educated daily, from as early as 5:30am and staying as late as 7pm.
The organization also provides special schooling to over 75 hearing impaired and blind children, as well as a vocational school where over 235 students receive classes in different areas like: sewing; industrial preparation, installation and electrical maintenance; plumbing and management of computer office programs.
