The first annual “The Sporting Life Cup” polo championship was played from Saturday January 10th to Sunday January 17th in Casa de Campo, with the victory of the tournament belonging to the Lechuza team.
The championship opened on Saturday January 10th with Carbuccia competing against La Lechuza, an exciting game ending in victory for La Lechuza with Pedro Cabrera, Enrique Bonetti, Alfredo Vargas and Julio Lopez (Lechuza 11 Carbuccia 5).

A very competitive 3 game tournament! The teams were Lechuza – CT Energia, La Carbuccia (Luis Alfonso Paniagua, Miguel Hernandez, Luis A. Carbuccia and Anton Tejeda) and El Pitirri (Tony Rivera, Leo Matos, Ramon Espinal and Rafa Perez). The second game ended Carbuccia 12 Pittire 11, and the third game ended Lechuza 7 Pitirri 6. “Great first tournament to start off the season, with good players and good horses on show,” said Julio Lopez.
