Last Tuesday the 13th of April the Campo Nueva Esperanza, the Fundacion MIR’s boy’s school in La Romana received a very special visit from the Asociacion Romana de Ahorros y Prestamos (the La Romana association of savings and loans). 
Lic. Jose Melo and Lic.Ibelka Gil from the Asociacion Romana de Ahorros y Prestamos they talked to the students about the importance of saving money for their future.
As part of their visit they awarded 4 savings accounts to the 4 boys who had written the best reports on a preview conference about Money Administration, and to encourage the boys to save money they gave out piggy banks to store and save their money in. They also welcomed the boys to go to their La Romana office to open an account of their own.
The Fundcaion MIR would like to thank the Asociacion Romana de Ahorros y Prestamos for taking the time to talk to our students and helping us make a difference to the lives of these young boys. Thank you Asociacion Romana de Ahorros y Prestamos – God bless you.
