With a beautiful ceremony and a diverse display of photographs of the baseball luminaries, the Latino Baseball Hall of Fame opened the the First Traveling Photo Exhibit on Wednesday the 6th of November 6th on the second level of the Agora Mall shopping centre in Santo Domingo.
The exhibition, which aims to tell the story of Latino Baseball Hall of Fame (Salón de la Fama del Béisbol Latino – SFBL) through images, will be open to the public until December 6th.
Every weekend throughout the month-long exhibition, baseball lovers can enjoy a wide range of activities, including autograph signings by major leaguers, artistic and cultural contact with living sculptures, sports clubs and conversations with leading national sportswriters and many more activities organized by the Latino Baseball Hall of Fame (Salón de la Fama del Béisbol Latino – SFBL).
The exhibit consists of photographs of each of the baseball luminaries, at the foot of which is the player’s biography and statistics. With this event the Latino Baseball Hall of Fame (Salón de la Fama del Béisbol Latino – SFBL) is celebrating the Dominican Republic as a major source of baseball talent, as well as promoting the history and heritage of the sport in Latin America.
Alongside Roberto Weill founder and president of the organization, the inauguration ceremony was attended by some members of the committees of the Latino Baseball Hall of Fame (Salón de la Fama del Béisbol Latino – SFBL), as well as major league player Ubaldo Jimenez, Deputy Sports Minister Soterio Ramirez, Moises Alou and former players Tony Fernandez, Eugenio Cedeño, as well as many members of the press, radio and television.

Also recently launched was the 2nd edition of INMORTALES magazine, the official publication of the Latino Baseball Hall of Fame (Salón de la Fama del Béisbol Latino – SFBL), which aims to celebrate the excellent achievements of Latin-Americans in the world of baseball. Latino Baseball Hall of Fame – Class of 2014
The Latino Baseball Hall of Fame Baseball Class of 2014 were announced recently in a ceremony at the Yankee Stadium in New York. The exaltation ceremony is scheduled to take place in Casa de Campo at the Altos de Chavón amphitheater on Saturday the 8th of February.
