The La Romana Fashion show took place on Saturday the 24th of October, in the Club Casa Puerto Rico with the objective of raising money for CODIA, the Dominican College of Engineers, Architects and Surveyors. CODIA are currently raising funds to take a group of CODIA representatives to participate in the XI Encounter of Women Engineers and Architects, which will take place in Ecuador.
The stores which presented their collections were: Divas, El Secreto de la Moda, Montas Trading, Mary Exclusividades, Chiquilandia, Pasarella, Yumar Atelier, D’Lucia Accesorios y Algo Mas and Lemon. This wide variety of stores placed their best pieces on the runway. Showing off everything from accessories to flashy gala night gowns.
Ana Henriquez, president of the CODIA regional woman, expressed:
This was a very diverse fashion show, with the participation of male hip-hop dancers, as well as the ballerinas from the Pointe Ballet Academy.
