Every year the Altos de Chavón Archeological Museum hosts children’s summer camp and this year the camp, called “TU HISTORIA EN EL TIEMPO” (your history in time) will take place from July the 6th through to July 13th and with lots of educational yet fun activities on the program promises to be a great activity for your little ones!
Summer camp will be held within the Altos de Chavón Archeological Museum itself, centrally located in Altos de Chavón in Casa de Campo, with activities taking place in the museum’s specially design ‘discovery room,’ filled with a variety of learning tools, in the museum’s beautiful garden area, as well as out and about in Altos de Chavón.
The camp which has been developed especially for children between the ages of 5 and 10 years old will be delivered by bi-lingual instructors (English – Spanish) and so is ideal for the children of Casa de Campo villa owners as well as for children in Casa de Campo on vacation.
The Altos de Chavón Archeological Museum Camp aims to use dynamic and creative activities to introduce children to the world of archeology, fascinating aspects of history and Caribbean culture and the natural and cultural environment featured in the museum’s collection. The camp will focus on pre-Columbian archeology and art, with games, and workshops that encourage exploration, communication and social interaction.
The daily program of activities will be as follows:
