Veteran golfer Juan Quéliz was the top winner of the twelfth Federico’s Birthday Golf Classic, an event held on Saturday at Dientes de Perro, in Casa de Campo, where 100 players took part.
Quéliz was the best in category A, with a score of 71, followed by Sigfrido Pared Pérez, 72, and Juan Carlos López, third with 74.
In category B, Santiago Morales took first place with a card of 67, Mario Torres, second with 69, Luis Severino third with the same score.
While, in C, Rhina Espaillat finished in first place with 69 shots, she was seconded by Eusebio Núñez Malena, 72 and Cuqui Torres, third with 73.
Each winner in the different categories received, apart from the trophies, a television.
The award ceremony for Federico’s Birthday, an event that takes place every year in honor of the birthday boy Federico Félix, a long-time golfer and businessman, was held in the Flamboyán Hall, in Casa de Campo, where several raffles were held and trophies and appliances were awarded to the winners.
The dance party was enlivened by Grupo Bonyé.
Within the framework of the tournament, in the Stroke Play mode, there was a live DJ, there were also drinks and amenities from the sponsors.
This year’s tournament was dedicated to Héctor Then and Héctor Acosta, who took the honorary kick-off on the putting green of Dientes de Perro.
Federico Félix thanked the players and guests for their support at his birthday celebration, where as every year there is a gathering of friends to celebrate his anniversary.
The Federico’s Birthday Golf Classic is played every year and the main objective is to share with Federico with his closest friends.
Version 12 of the tournament had the logistical support of Dilcia Jiménez, Félix’s wife.
The event had L&R Comercial as its official sponsor.
