Fans of Jacqueline Then’s Dominicana Moda 2017 runway show got to experience it up close and personal along with some never-before-seen holiday specials at her trunk show the weekend before last in Altos de Chavón. The event which was held at the Jenny Polanco Project on Saturday and Sunday, December 16th & 17th, allowed guests to try on the designer pieces and get some expert advice from the designer herself.

On display were sequin dresses, embroidered skirts, and casual button-down dresses that are taking the fashion world by storm. Jacqueline Then has done a superb job of revolutionizing the typical “dress shirt” into asymmetrical, exaggerated, and all-over more fun ways to wear the staple garment. In loose-fitting styles but with accentuated sleeves or collars, these shirts and dresses punch up the casual look and make taking a day look to evening pas de problème.

For evenings requiring fancier tones, red and black or gold ensembles would no doubt steal any show with fiery delight. Moving away from the classic LBT, these holiday numbers make a statement and also incorporate some of the designer’s latest asymmetrical trends. Christmas and New Year’s parties are going to be all the better this year with Jacqueline Then!

We hope you got a chance to view the clothing in person at the Trunk Show at the Jenny Polanco Project, but if not make sure to check out her store next time you’re in Santo Domingo.
