We are very pleased to announce that Casa de Campo Living has a photography intern! Dolly Muxo, who has recently moved back to La Romana from Miami will now be working with Casa de Campo Living to gain for experience by helping us photograph events and Casa de Campo’s beauty spots. Welcome Dolly, we are very excited to have you! Dolly is really passionate about photography and has been studying and working for many years to keep improving her understanding and skill at this very complex art form, but like all great artists she understands that her art is a journey – her talent will grow, improve and change along the way. Until now Dolly has concentrated on ‘modelling photography’ which she is undeniable very good at. Her photos not only capture the beauty of her models, but also an essence of their personality and feeling. In the future, Dolly will be doing a modelling photo shoot with me as the ‘model’ which is very exciting and a little scary – I promise I will share the photos and my experience of this with you!

As well as modelling photography, Dolly has also been working on ‘still life’ shots and scenery, a talent which she has most recently been practicing in Casa de Campo at Playa Minitas and at a beautiful Casa de Campo wedding, below are a selection of these photos.

Here Dolly, tells us a little about herself:
I was born in Santo Domingo, but have moved quite a bit between Santo Domingo, Miami and La Romana, I lived for a while in Altos de Chavón and I was fascinated by it and the structure so I knew I would eventually come back. I’ve been switching schools ever since 2nd grade but graduated in Miami, Florida with honors. I’ve taken several photography courses locally, as well as in Paris for a Summer. I love photography because I simply adore letting people into my mind, and I think that every single one of my pictures has an element that is unique and represents me. I started out doing abstract and landscape photography, but in 2009 I started doing modelling photography (fashion/glamour) for models in Miami and around the United States. I’m always inspired and when I can’t find anyone to photograph, I do self-portraits so I can practice my lighting and so I can understand better what to expect from my models and it also helps me direct them in the future. I’ve recently just moved back to the DR, to do wedding and event photography, as well as continue with modelling photography.
We are very excited to have Dolly as part of our Casa de Campo Living team, Dolly has already been ‘covering’ events with us; the ‘Fiesta de la Luna’ at Chinois as well as the nightlife in Altos de Chavón over the long weekend, she will also be at the Bazaar Dueños 2010 on Sunday October the 10th in Altos de Chavón where she will be taking ‘modelling shots’ of anyone who would like to have a go at modelling!
