Today, Friday February 5th, the luminaries of the Latino Baseball Hall of Fame (yes that includes “El Grande”, Pedro Martinez) will be arriving to Casa de Campo from Santo Domingo – and on their way into town they’ll be stopping at La Romana for the IMMORTALIZATION Ceremony, where we, SILGON, will be selling the most recent edition of INMORTALES magazine.
The IMMORTALIZATION Ceremony of the Latino Baseball Hall of Fame is when the luminaries of the previous year (the Class of 2014) are immortalised by unveiling their plaques in the Paseo de los INMORTALES at the Central Park in La Romana. Being immortalized in this ceremony this year we have the great Moises Alou from the Dominican Republic, Bert Campaneris of Cuba, Luis Ernesto Salazar of Venezuela, Ozzie Vigil of the Dominican Republic, César Leonardo Tovar of Venezuela, Omar Moreno of Panama, Aurelio López of Mexico and Juan Ramón Pizarro of Puerto Rico.
Also taking part in the IMMORTALIZATION ceremony will the the great latino baseball players being inducted into the Latino Baseball Hall of Fame, Class of 2015; Ozzie Guillen, Roberto Kelly, Luis Gonzalez Nomar Garciaparra, Carlos Delgado and Pedro Martínez.
During the ceremony the luminaries will be signing copies of the new edition of INMORTALES magazine and you will also have a chance to purchase your own copy! INMORTALES magazine, yet another innovative media project by SILGON, celebrates and commemorates the achievement of latino baseball, whose great players, scouts, managers and fans have had a profound impact on baseball world-wide and especially the Major Leagues. The IMMORTALIZATION Ceremony of the Latino Baseball Hall of Fame will take place from 5pm on Friday February 6th and is completely free, so we hope to see you there!
