In a significant stride toward enhancing service quality within the tourism sector, the Instituto Nacional de Formación Técnico Profesional (INFOTEP) collaborated with Casa de Campo Resort & Villas, presenting 236 titles and certificates to employees. This initiative, aligned with the Corporación Central Romana, reaffirms their dedication to fortifying the tourism and hospitality sectors.

Rafael Santos Badía, the Director General of INFOTEP, emphasized the pivotal role of these graduates within the international tourism hotspot. “The individuals present today are among 700 trained in 2023, 480 women and 220 men. They are poised to deliver services of the highest caliber in this renowned tourist destination,” stated Santos Badía.

The graduates completed diverse courses, including room attendants, room technicians, stewards, and supervision techniques, equipping them to effectively meet the industry’s demands.

Charles Keusters, the Operations Director at Casa de Campo Resort & Villas, underscored the significance of this training for both the company and its employees. “The preparation of our entire team ensures a brighter future for the company and each employee. Visitors to Casa de Campo experience unparalleled service and an unmatched tourism offering not only in this country or region but possibly the world,” Keusters emphasized.

Eladio Uribe, the Corporate Human Resources Director, stressed the necessity of continual learning in today’s world. “Learning is not an option but an obligation. To maintain our hotel’s status as the region’s best, we need the best individuals among you, our employees,” remarked Uribe.

The infusion of technological advancements and the advent of AI in various industries were highlighted by Uribe, emphasizing the need for continuous learning to stay relevant.

Juan Santana completed the Excel training program with outstanding grades and expressed how the experience transcended his professional realm. “It allowed me to craft strategies to excel in my role and facilitated more extensive networking within the company,” Santana shared.

The participants underwent rigorous training, spanning Competency Certification, Occupational Validation, Soft Skills Certification, and Specific Training. This comprehensive approach aimed to equip participants with human development skills, chemical handling, manual load safety, and food safety norms.
