Last Friday the 3rd of June the Central Romana’s Abraham Lincoln School in La Romana, proudly inaugurated it’s annual art exhibit at the Altos de Chavon art gallery in Casa de Campo.  The event officially started at 7pm and the gallery quickly filled up with proud parents and their excited children all eagerly searching for their artwork and thrilled to see it displayed in the gallery. It was a really fun occasion – the kids excitement to see their art work on display in a real exhibit was infectious and to be honest the exhibit and the art work on display was as always exceptional. Every year, the art exhibit by the students of the Abraham Lincoln School never fails to impress me: even if as an ex-teacher I am a little biased! To view photos of the art work on display in the exhibit, click here! On display were fantastic works of art from every child in the school from the 4 year olds in Pre-Kinder to the 18 year olds in 12th grade and everything was very impressive! The way in which the school’s art teachers; Miss Longford and Mr Adams, helped by a number of other teachers had displayed all the work was especially admirable and made the pupil’s work even more beautiful! Here are my photo’s of a number of the pupil’s, teachers and parents enjoying the exhibit during the inauguration, photos of all the artwork will be published soon!
