Last Friday the 21st of August a crowd of more than 100 art fans gathered at the Altos de Chavon art gallery for the inauguration of “Cielos Inventados” by Jorge Silvestre. The inauguration was a great success – the gallery was teeming with friends, acquaintances and admirers of Jorge’s art, as well as Casa de Campo villa owners and visitors.
Jorge Silvestre is a Dominican artist in the purest sense, born here in La Romana, his art is a true reflection of all things Caribbean – bright, vibrant colors of palm trees, beach huts, the beautiful blue Caribbean sky, each one an abstract representation of the Dominican lifestyle and love of life!
“Cielos Inventados” opened on August the 21st, and closes on September the 21st, that’s a whole month – a real indication of how great this particular exhibit is and gives you plenty of time to go see it, if you haven’t already!
