This year’s Sugar Shooting Tournament featured an exciting new addition: Night Shoot! The inaugural Sugar Shoot Floodlight Clays and BBQ was hosted at Casa de Campo’s Shooting Center on Monday, April 22, at 7:30 p.m. Attendees were treated to an evening of exhilarating shooting under floodlights, complemented by lively music and delectable barbecue fare.

Guests reveled in the excitement of shooting rounds with friends across five stands, all set beneath the vibrant glow of floodlights. The five stands and its illuminated field provided a one-of-a-kind shooting experience filled with excitement. As flash clays burst into view, then vanished amidst fluorescent smoke, the challenge was crystal clear: hit or miss. This new activity is an experience that should not be overlooked!

Alongside the shooting, participants and guests indulged in a complimentary BBQ featuring a variety of mouthwatering options, from steak sandwiches to chicken wings.

Established 37 years ago by J. Pepe Fanjul, the Sugar Shooting tournament originally took place over four days at the Casa de Campo Shooting Center. However, with the expansion of the shooting center and the addition of the European Style Driven Bird Shooting facility at Rancho Peligro, the tournament grew into a six-day event.

The 37th Sugar Shooting Tournament will continue throughout the week, with practice rounds and official shooting events. It will culminate in the prize-giving ceremony and dinner on Saturday evening at Casa Grande.
