Friends, fans and followers, big news… I’m pregnant!

A lot has happened since Philip and I jetted off to Texas back at the beginning of June. Our only plan was to get married, and we did indeed get married, but as it turns out on that very same day, (yes our wedding day), Philip also purchased a new business, Plano Profile Magazine, (check it out at planoprofile.com and read our announcement published in Casa de Campo Living back in August). That’s certainly one way of making getting married a whole lot less scary!
After that, things seemed to spiral out of control, in a good way of course. We also bought a car and went off on honeymoon – turns out Texas has some great natural beauty spots and wonderful wineries. After that much-deserved break, we set about running the new magazine, leased ourselves an apartment… oh, and also made a baby!
As of the moment of writing this, I’m 17 weeks pregnant, which for those of you not familiar with the pregnancy concept of counting in weeks, is about 4 months. Baby Silvestri (gender yet to be revealed) is due May 1st, 2016, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. A wedding, new business, a new residence, as well as a baby… whoever said people don’t like change? Turns out the Silvestris thrive on it!
UPDATE: It’s a..BOY!
So what about Casa de Campo?
Well, my friends, the good news is – we’ll be coming down soon – in December to be exact. Moving forward, our plan is to live and work between Casa de Campo and Plano (Texas), but in order to be able to work in the U.S., I need a U.S. residency, and that has meant I couldn’t leave the country. Although I haven’t yet got a residency, what I do now have is a travel permit, and with that I’ll be able to come spend the holidays back in Casa de Campo. Oh yes, the bump and I are coming to party!
In the meantime, my favorite SILGON publications; Casa de Campo Living, CasaLife, INMORTALES and TODO have been and will continue to be under the direction of Carla Campos. A more hardworking, passionate and dedicated person there never was, be nice to her – she’s fabulous!
Looking forward to seeing y’all in December!
