It is now just 10 days until the grand opening of the new Casa de Campo hotel! Today I continued my snooping about the ‘construction’ site and found the lobby almost completed!

When I first walked into the new lobby area I was astounded – it is now completely constructed and is just awaiting the final finishing touches! In fact, as I strolled around the lobby area, there were an army of cleaners diligently polishing surfaces, the furniture and floors – that’s just how close to being finished it is!

As you can see from the photos the new furniture has arrived and it is simply fabulous, the chairs and sofas look very chic and modern as well as comfortable – which is always a bonus! Obviously the furniture had only just arrived – so although it was somewhat laid out, when I took these photos, I’m sure some extra tweaking will be done – I imagine by the time it is unveiled in 10 days it will look different all over again – nevertheless these photos give us a pretty good idea at just how wonderful it will look!

As for the library – the area in the main header photo is what Mayra Gonzalez, chief designer in charge of the project is calling the ‘library,’ it has been designed as a sitting area and the section to the right will contain a variety of books and magazines for guests to peruse at their leisure.

Only 10 days to go! We can’t wait!
