The 18th Annual McDaniel Tennis Tournament by PBO is a successful event that aims to raise funds for important programs that benefit young players, including player health insurance, ball boys scholarship fund, English lessons, and college scholarships. The tournament has been a staple event in Casa de Campo for 18 years, bringing together professional players from La Terraza and La Romana Country Club for an exciting doubles tournament.
Sponsor Appreciation Cocktail: A Night of Celebration
On Friday, March 10th, the McDaniel Tennis Tournament by PBO held its annual sponsor appreciation cocktail at La Terraza Tennis Center. The event brought together sponsors and players to celebrate the tournament’s success and thank those who generously contributed to the cause.
While the cocktail was in full swing, one of the tournament’s matches was taking place with Winter Jones and Luis Segura facing Jeffree Gondres and Frank de los Santos. Ultimately, Gondres and De los Santos emerged victorious, showcasing their skills and athleticism on the court.
Continuing the Legacy of Rick McDaniel
Last year marked the last full-time involvement of Mr. Rick McDaniel in the tournament, but the PBO has agreed to support the McDaniel Committee Members in organizing the tournament’s implementation. This transition allows the tournament to continue its core programs to benefit the ball boys and players.
Supporting Players: Donate to a Worthy Cause
The McDaniel Tennis Tournament has already significantly impacted Casa de Campo’s players’ and ball boys’ lives, and donations have been used exclusively for the children’s and players’ benefit. The PBO and Mr. Rick McDaniels thanks sponsors for their generosity and encourages others to consider donating to this worthy cause. The tournament’s semi-finals took place the following day, and the finals were held on Sunday, March 12th, at La Romana Country Club.
