An afternoon of tea and biscuits at the "Hogar" store

Have you been to “Hogar”, the Hogar del Niño store at Altos de Chavón yet? Well, if you haven’t we highly recommend you do! The store is selling absolutely gorgeous items for your home like lamps, paintings and even jewelry, as well as Hogar del Niño t-shirts, and souvenirs.

Last Friday the 24th of January, to give the store a little boost of extra promotion, the Altos de Chavón Museum of Archeology organized a tea and biscuits afternoon for all the philanthropic shoppers of Casa de Campo. With tea and biscuits from the “ChocoMuseo” (also recently opened in Altos de Chavón) guests and shoppers, were able to peruse and shop for a good cause, while also enjoying a tasty snack – and all to help the children of the Hogar del Niño school and daycare center – as all store profits are 100% destined to the cause.

They were even selling a nice wine cabinet (pictured right), whose original price was US$250, which is now reduced to just $US125, a great bargain! The Hogar del Niño is making a huge effort to help and provide the kids in their school a good education, but they also need your help – so don’t hesitate to go and visit the “Hogar” new store in Altos de Chavón. So we invite you to come to the store and help the Hogar del Niño – a children’s daycare and educational center for over 1500 children, located in La Romana town, just outside of Casa de Campo. Children from as young as just a few weeks old up to 18 years old are cared for and educated daily, from as early as 5:30am and staying as late as 7pm. Save the date!
