The following is the biography of HERMINIO ALBERTI LEÓN
Born in the Dominican Republic, Herminio has developed a successful career in marketing, as well as a highly recognized business consulting practice. Herminio coordinates events in order to keep his neurons active and does photography in order to breath joy. He is happily married to Carmen Sahdalá Tineo. His three children, Marinelly, José Manuel and Anadel, are three happy, fully-realized professionals. Both José and Anadel have also made their incursion into photography as an art.
He was initiated into photographic research on traditional film cameras about 45 years ago, under the tutoring of photographer Ricardo Thormann. At the time, he decided to postpone photography in order to join his wife on the education of their children. Today, when his kids are grownups, and after participating on a Seminar of Photography taught by photographer artist Maritza Alvarez, he is engaging himself once again into the art of photography, this time under the lead of two great Dominican photographers: GRUFOS’ founder, engineer Félix Sepúlveda, and the great photography master, Mr. Domingo Batista. Herminio has also produced a TV documentary about the life and trajectory of the latter.
