Last Saturday the 22nd of December 2012, Casa de Campo villa owners, residents and visitors came together at Genesis in Altos de Chavón in support of the Patronato Benéfico Oriental (umbrella organisation for the Hogar del Niño) at the first ever Disco Christmas Party – a night filled with Christmas spirit and lots of surprises!
The old nightclub “Genesis” had been completely reinvented as a wintery wonderland – complete with snow, Christmas trees and glittering Christmas decorations – including traditional Dominican Charamicos hanging from the ceiling.
In one corner “Santa’s Camerino” (Santa’s official photographer) awaited the festive party guests, where the most hilarious photos were taken – some with a special “cut-out” Santa – creating the illusion of one very sexy Santa female with a rather macho Santa male, whilst others choose to pose with wigs, hats and other fun accessories!
Once the party got underway and everyone took to the dance floor – a naughty elf appeared serving jello shots – accompanied shortly afterwards by both Xiomara Matos and Sandra Alvarado (party organisers) serving “shots” to be drank from the beaded shot glasses hanging around each guests neck!

The Hogar del Niño
The Hogar del Niño is a children’s daycare and educational center for over 1500 children, located in La Romana town, just outside of Casa de Campo. Children from as young as just a few weeks old up to 18 years old are cared for and educated daily, from as early as 5:30am and staying as late as 7pm. The organization also provides special schooling to over 75 hearing impaired and blind children, as well as a vocational school where over 235 students receive classes in different areas like: sewing; industrial preparation, installation and electrical maintenance; plumbing and management of computer office programs.
