Today the Dominican Republic celebrates it’s 171st anniversary of National Independence, and for that reason on behalf of MIR Foundation, we wish all Dominicans and those living in this beautiful country a Happy Independence Day.
Fundación MIR is a nonprofit organization which with its 3 schools seeks to provide a brighter future for their 1,200 student by providing an excellent eductional, teaching them, among other things, the true meaning of national symbols and of the great sacrifice a good number of men and women made fighting to the death so that we could live in a free and independent state
Juan Pablo Duarte said “work by and for the nation, which is working for our children and for ourselves” which is why today the Fundación MIR would like to wish you a very happy Independance Day. After all is education not the modern means to freedom?
The Fundación MIR is a non-profit organization which works to provide education to the children of the greater La Romana area, who are most in need. They run 3 schools; the MIR Esperanza (boys vocational school), the Escuela Tecnica Vocacional Fundación MIR (girls vocational school) and the Primaria MIR (infants school).
