Last Friday October 17th, the Casa de Campo and La Romana community celebrated the opening of Pickadeli Gourmet.
Pickadeli Gourmet are the creators of the best tequenos in the eastern region of the country and probably the entire Dominican Republic. Well at least that certainly seems to be the opinion of everyone who has tasted them!
Owned and ran by the gorgeous mother-daughter team of Andrea and Adriana Feaugas, Pickadeli Gourmet opened their headquarters in La Romana with a champagne cocktail and lots and lots of tequenos! And as the many guests munched their way through an endless variety of tequenos from original to pesto and platano, with every bite we just wanted more and more!
What are Tequeños?
Tequeños are little bites of heaven – pastry filled with cheese. They are a Venezuelan speciality and at Pickadeli Gourmet, in addition to the traditional white flour and cheese version, they have also invented a number of popular variations, including plantain flour, pesto and even sweet “bites” for desserts.
Congratulations to Andrea and Adriana Feaugas!
