Over the last few months we’ve had some GOOD times at cocktails, sporting events and supporting charity events – here we bring you a recap of our favorites!
On Friday the 15th of June 2012, Marat Legal, who with more than 30 years experience in law hosted a cocktail at La Enoteca wine bar in the Marina Casa de Campo to celebrate the opening of their new offices in the “Zona Franca” (free zone), located in La Romana – just outside of Casa de Campo.
On Saturday the 7th of April 2012, otherwise know as “Sábado Santo” a day when celebrations in the Dominican Republic rival those of New Year’s Eve, one of the many parties Casa de Campo villa owners and visitors were treated to was that of the “Semana Santa Polo Tournament”, celebrated in spectacular style at the Casa de Campo polo fields.
On Sunday the 29th of April 2012, Autozama with their brand Mercedes-Benz invited Casa de Campo villa owners, residents and guests to “get to know the new face of Mercedes-Benz” with a cocktail party hosted at the Casa de Campo Yacht Club in the Marina Casa de Campo.
Last Friday the 25th of May 2012, Jenny Polanco celebrated the opening of her new store “Jenny Polanco Project” in Altos de Chavón with a cocktail to raise money for local charity, Hogar del Niño which featured the incredible recycled lamps of Malele Strofer, as well as Jenny’s fashion designs and numerous arts and crafts created by Dominican artisans.
From Wednesday March 28th through to Saturday March 31st, 2012 the 27th annual Sugar Golf Tournament was celebrated in Casa de Campo with 4 nights of celebratory cocktail parties and dinners, accompanied by 4 days of golf; 2 days of practice rounds and 2 days of tournament rounds on all 4 of Casa de Campo’s golf courses; the Teeth of the Dog, the Links, the Dye Fore and the La Romana Country Club.
From Thursday March 29th through to Sunday April 1st, the annual “MIR Bazaar” at the La Romana Country Club in Casa de Campo was open for business, raising funds to support the Fundación MIR’s schools in La Romana, with the “Ladies Luncheon” hosted by Lian Fanjul de Azqueta founder of the Fundación MIR attracting quiet a crowd on Saturday afternoon.
On March 24th 2012, Leah Patipa of North Palm Beach, Florida and Axel Varela, whose family lives in Argentina wed in a blissfully romantic ceremony on Casa de Campo’s Minitas Beach, a ceremony that was framed by perfectly blue skies, crystal blue ocean and gentle rustle of the breeze in the palm trees.
