Golf Tournament on the Dye Fore: The 5th Annual “Copa de Golf Invitacional CardNET”

The 5th Annual “Copa de Golf Invitacional CardNET” was celebrated recently on the Dye Fore golf course in Altos de Chavon, Casa de Campo La Romana. 92 golfers from Casa de Campo, La Romana and Santo Domingo took part in the tournament, which was played on a sunny Saturday morning in a scramble format. The group, who were a mixture of CardNET collegues, associates and friends enjoyed a jovial day of golf on   the Dye Fore, designed by famous golf course architect, Pete Dye. [Click here to see photos of the opening cocktail at Pepperoni restaurant in the Marina Casa de Campo]  The tournament was officially inaugurated by Luís Bencosme with a traditional “saque de honor” on the beautiful 18th green of Casa de Campo’s Pete Dye designed Dye Fore golf course. Following a successful day on the golf course, the golfers enjoyed a lunch and prize giving ceremony at a private Casa de Campo villa in Casa de Campo, La Romana.

During the prize-giving ceremony, Executive Vicepresident of CardNET, Eduardo Orbe, alongside Vice Chairman of the Board of CardNET, Luis Bencosme presented the prizes to the winning golfers in categories A,B,C, as well as a number of special prizes for the Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin.

At the end of the event a number of prizes were raffled to the tournaments players, with lucky golfers winning Blackberry phone, Montblanc stationary, weekend breaks in the Casa de Campo Resort and Hotel Casa Bonita in Barahona, as well as a number of golf accessories.
