girls casa de campoI love the Cygalle Healing Spa – as far as relaxing in Casa de Campo goes it’s the #1 place (followed closely by drinking champagne in a jacuzzi and snoozing on Minitas Beach.) So when recently I got to enjoy the Casa de Campo’s spa with my best friend from England I was in heaven – here is a quick review of our experience:

As recommended by the Cygalle Healing Spa, my friend Caroline and I started out spa experience in the “Water Ritual Room”, which is a magical place – yes really! It’s a totally private cabaña with showers, steam room, sauna and a hot and cold plunge pool and is a great place to relax and play before you are pampered by the spa’s professionals.

Me – in the hot plunge pool (the photo from the cold pool was significantly less flattering!)

Normally when enjoying the “Water Ritual Room”, I like to stay away from the cold plunge pool – for obvious reasons, but on this occasion Caroline convinced me to try (for the first time), the hot-cold plunge experience and whilst I am loathed to admit it – I liked it. It is very hot and then very very cold but as promised it does leave you feeling vitalized and buzzing!

After the “Water Ritual Room” experience caroline and I were escorted to separate private cabañas where Caroline enjoyed a full body massage and I enjoyed the spa’s signature facial treatment.
