Kristin Simmons’ bold and vibrant exhibition, Welcome to My Delulu Era: Resort Edition, is coming to a close — but not without one final, immersive experience. On April 4 at 6:30 p.m., art lovers are invited to step into the pop-art world themselves at the Altos de Chavón Art Gallery in Casa de Campo.

An Interactive Farewell

This isn’t your average closing night. Instead of simply admiring Simmons’ work, guests will become part of the art. With UV lighting, fluorescent paint, and communal screen-printing activities, attendees will have the chance to intervene in select artworks, adding their own artistic touch to the experience. A live DJ spinning pop hits, ambient lighting effects, and cocktails will set the tone for a night that blends creativity with celebration.

From Pop Art to Pop Culture

Simmons’ exhibition, which opened on March 14, takes a playful yet thought-provoking look at modern self-deception. Inspired by the viral term delulu — short for delusional — the collection uses mixed media, collage and interactive installations to explore how people create their own alternative realities. “I wanted to create something that would make people smile while still maintaining our usual critique in a fun and daring way,” Simmons said during the opening.

One Last Chance to Join the Delulu Era

If you missed the opening or want a reason to relive it, this is your opportunity to experience Welcome to My Delulu Era: Resort Edition in an unforgettable way before it closes on April 14. Whether a seasoned art enthusiast or someone looking for a unique evening out, attendees can expect a hands-on, immersive experience unlike any other.

Want to be part of the delulu movement? Show up, bring your creativity, and leave your mark.
