Even though Saturday was a bit wet and drizzly, the community’s tennis players still came out to participate in La Terraza’s Friendly Tennis Tournament hosted by Casa de Campo. Many Casa de Campo guests and residents arrived bright and early at the tennis center and showed their skills and competitive spirit on the court. This event was yet another wonderful way to start the weekend that followed all Casa Cares protocols guaranteeing the health and safety of the community.
Attendees arrived at the tennis club and were greeted by its director Matias Territoriale and his team who set up the matches and assigned them to one of the 13 immaculate fast-dry Har-Tru tennis courts. This clay material is excellent for facilitating well-rounded games with less chance of strain on the body. The ball bounces a little slower and that means more time to ensure longer rallies!
It is said that tennis competitions provide opportunities for players of all levels to challenge themselves on a regular basis, and we were witness to this last Saturday. Players served up tennis balls and fierce competition to their opponents, whilst at the same time motivating and encouraging each other. After the matches, the players enjoyed some much-deserved refreshments at the gazebo and the winners were presented with their prizes.
We congratulate all who participated and winners who showed tremendous effort and made this Friendly Tennis Tournament a success. We are so pleased to see enthusiasm go strong and increase for tennis in Casa de Campo. If you weren’t able to participate in this edition, stay tuned as we are sure Casa de Campo is preparing more fun events for the near future!
