Montesino is a graduate of the Altos de Chavón School of Design (1985), and he completed his bachelor’s degree and master’s in Fine Arts at the Parsons School of Design in New York (1987). Exhibiting his work in individual and collective exhibitions, he has been recognized locally and internationally with scholarships and distinctions. “Extrasensorial” is an expression and manipulation of the visual environment that reflect the artist’s “feelings of identity.” He explains: “I evoke natural processes by creating scenarios of visual dialogues, playing with the real image, be it painting of it or its photograph, and the recreation that springs from it and me.” The exhibition, curated by Luis Graham Castillo, opens Thursday, December 15th and will remain open to the public until January 16, 2017.
