Marina Casa de Campo is set to host the Gala de Carnaval 2025, a musical tribute to the Dominican Republic’s rich cultural traditions. Taking place on Feb. 22 at 8 p.m. in Plaza Portofino, the event will immerse attendees in a vibrant display of dance, music and folklore.
A Journey Through Dominican Carnival
The 45-minute performance will transport audiences across the country’s diverse regions through the iconic characters of the Dominican Carnival. A troupe of 10 dancers dressed in elaborate costumes will bring the celebration to life with traditional rhythms and an engaging stage production.

The opening act will feature Los Guloyas, recognized as a UNESCO Cultural Heritage, adding their signature energy and mysticism to the evening’s festivities.
A Multimedia Experience
Enhancing the performance, a large screen will project visuals representing the regions showcased in each musical piece. A bilingual narration in Spanish and English will provide cultural insights, incorporating poetic texts from renowned Dominican authors.
A Night of Art and Tradition
“We are thrilled to present an event that highlights our roots and traditions in such an iconic setting as Marina Casa de Campo. This will be a night of art and culture that will captivate both residents and visitors,” said José Gonzalvo, director of Marina Casa de Campo.
Jason Kycek, vice president of corporate marketing, added, “This event is part of our 50th-anniversary celebrations and aligns with our new initiatives at the marina. Our goal is to offer unique and authentic experiences that showcase the cultural richness of the Dominican Republic.”
