The children of the Fundación MIR schools in La Romana recently received a wonderful gift of beautiful clothes donated by Dominican designer Julissa Peralta.

The Fundación MIR, a non-profit organisation, which works to provide education to the children of the greater La Romana area, who are most in need – were thrilled to receive this donation from  designer Julissa Peralta who owns and runs a children’s clothing store in Santo Domingo.  The clothes, mostly beautiful frilly and flowered dresses were greeted with great enthusiasm by the little girls of the Primaria MIR (infants school) – and don’t they look adorable!

“I feel very happy to see the photos of the girls wearing the clothes and know that I was able to do my part. Congratulations to the Fundación MIR for their excellent work.”

— Julissa Peralta

“Education has become our main goal because we hope to create individuals that will become inspired leaders in their families, communities and country. Making an investment in the youth of our nation benefits everyone. It is only because of your generosity that so many are able to participate in this educational experience.”
