On Monday August 7th, 109 students from the Fundación MIR closed a chapter in their lives and welcomed another one as they start their journey as young adults. Not only did they celebrate their graduation, but also took on the commitment of continuing their hard work to ensure bright futures for themselves and their families. This is now MIR’s 12th graduation— the 1st one celebrated the graduating class of 2005! Both the Fundación MIR high schools, which include the Politécnico Fundación MIR (for girls) and the Politécnico MIR Esperanza (for boys), graduated 109 young people fully prepared and excited to embark on their next journey. The ceremony took place at the Fundación MIR “Salón Multiusos” located at the Campo Nueva Esperanza, where friends and family members came together to celebrate this special occasion with the graduating class.  Present at the graduation were board members, Mrs. Lian Fanjul de Azqueta, founder of the Fundación MIR, Lyanne Azqueta, and Sandra Hernández, who were all visibly very proud of the students’ numerous achievements. As special guests, the event included: Andrés Pichardo, president of Casa de Campo; Juan Velázquez, director of Costasur; and Alfredo Guzmán, director and partner at Guzmán Ariza; along with MIR collaborators: Mafalda Formisano, Diego Sánchez de León and his wife, and Mrs. Annie Paniagua. A very special moment during the ceremony occurred when the graduating class paid tribute to Mrs. Lian Fanjul de Azqueta and her daughter Lyanne for everything they have done for them. The diplomas were presented by the Directors Deborah Ruiz and Ana Karen Peralta. The principals thanked all those who are a part of the educational community for their dedication and commitment to the integral development of their students. They encouraged the students not to allow that brilliant fervor to be overshadowed by the hardships they will encounter in the world and to learn from every experience lived. They advised them to not let fear deprive them of pursuing their dreams. Angélica Mota Castra and German Daniel Sena were this year’s valedictorian students. During their speech, they thanked God and the foundation for helping them follow their dreams and for their continuous support making them feel as part of a great family. The students stated that they are now beginning a new stage in their lives, closing one chapter and opening another, filled with goals and plans. Congratulations to all, and many thanks to Fundación MIR for its commitment to such an important task!
