This past weekend The Fundación MIR celebrated its 28th annual Charismatic Retreat, surpassing the expectations of each of the attendees. The celebration was held on Saturday September 29 at the Politécnico Fundación MIR of La Romana with the participation of the communities of Casa de Campo en La Romana who year after year attend from Casa de Campo and La Romana.

The annual event that has been held every year since 1990, organized by Lian Fanjul de Azqueta and Lyanne Azqueta, President-Founder and Executive Director of the MIR Foundation, respectively, has become a tradition in La Romana and continues to have the participation and support from many people who celebrate their faith, as well as those who seek to share their testimony with others. The theme of this year’s retreat was “How to get to eternal life” and was open to children, teenagers and adults.

During the retreat various talks were given for adults; directed by Mons. Ramón Albino Guzmán with Mr. Miguel Calzada and for young people, Dr. Yaritza Echevarría Vilarrubia. All with the aim of sharing the word of God in koinonía. The day ended with a Eucharistic celebration and a prayer for the healing of the sick in the multipurpose of the MIR Foundation, celebrated by Archbishop Ramón Albino Guzmán, priests and celebrants. The 28th Retreat of Charismatic Renewal had the collaboration of La Parroquia Nuestra Señora of the Miraculous Medal of Puerto Rico,La Casita de Oración de La Romana and El Ministerio de Música Caná de Santo Domingo

Fundación MIR is extremely grateful to all those who participated in this tradition that celebrates 28 years and with all the collaborators. We hope to see you all again at next year’s retreat!
