Last year, there were several surprises at the Fundación MIR Magical Splendor for Life. One of the highlights was a speech given by a graduate of the Fundación MIR Polytechnic school, Anyelina Morla. She shared her emotional experience as an alumna of the school.

Ms. Morla was the winner of the Don Alfonso Fanjul award in 2017 and graduated with a degree in Medicine from Universidad Central del Este in 2021. Her speech moved the audience, but the representatives of Baptist Health International were even more so, they offered her an internship in their hospital on the spot.

Anyelina recently completed an observation program with Baptist Health International in Florida.

Sponsored by Baptist Health International, Anyelina participated in an International Nursing Program in South Florida from December 5th to 16th, 2022. During this time, she had the opportunity to learn and practice with renowned health professionals. Her mentors included Dr. Galed Hakim, Director of International Health Alliances, Sandelyn Alvarado, Registered Nurse, and Dr. Ivan Espaillat of Internal Medicine.

The program included in-person classes at FIU, presentation of projects, simulation laboratory practices, and observation experiences in different areas such as the emergency room and surgical rooms.

Thanks to Baptist Health International, Anyelina fulfilled her dream of training abroad at an institution that is a leader in safety, health, and best practices.
