This year’s tournament was dedicated to the memory of two remarkable individuals: Mario Emilio Guerrero, a sports journalist with an illustrious 30-year career, and Antonio Esteban, the first representative of Spain in over 40 consecutive tournaments. The tournament also honored Ramón Menéndez, affectionately known as Don Papo.
Winners in various sets and matches included Daniel Benavides, Vicent José, Carlos Oquet, Juan Cruz Guillen, Derek Vand den Berg, Deborak Morsenti, César Augusto de la Cruz, Gustavo Caffaro, Raffy Lantigua, Milton Pérez, Juan Cruz Guillen, Julio Cabrera, Roberto Garrido, Marcos Vinzoni, Giovnny Valdez, Gustavo Gimondo, José Martínez, and Lucas Sala.

One of the most remarkable aspects of this tournament was the participation of players of all ages, ranging from young talents to those as mature as 80. Mastrolilli expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all participants and supporters who contributed to the grand success of this sporting extravaganza. She also recognized Romana Corporation and Casa de Campo for their unwavering support throughout every tournament. During her speech, she highlighted the tournament’s transformation over the past 45 years, evolving from the “Torneo Internacional Siboney,” initially created by Vicenzo Mastrolilli.
