Last Tuesday, September 11th, was the first day 2018- 2019 season of the Fundación Real Madrid’s football school, in the new natural grass soccer field that Casa de Campo built at the end of 2017, located in Vereda. After the football practice, the parents and students were invited to stay for a presentation that took place in the Larimar conference room.

During the meeting Mr. Carmelo Zubiaur (President of Fundación ARMID-Fundación Real Madrid in the Dominican Republic) and Mr. Fabricio Schettini Vice President of Finance of the Central Romana informed the attendees of the important social work they are able to do thanks to the income from the activities organized by the Football School, the sponsors, and the parents themselves, since, without them being aware of it, they are contributing to the integration of children of low income families, who are at risk of social exclusion.

They stated that with all of the support the Fundación ARMID-Fundación Real Madrid receives they have been able to incorporate these children into schools such as Hogar Escuela Santo Domingo Savio and Plaza Educativa Don Bosco, which are supervised by the Salesian Society of Antilles and/or Salesian Province of the Antilles San Juan Bosco. “Your contribution guarantees that several hundred children and young people can be integrated into an academic-sports education program developed, promoted,  in the Dominican Republic by the Real Madrid Foundation.”

Fundación ARMID – Fundación Real Madrid have been in the country since 2015 opening schools in both Santiago and Santo Domingo. Real Madrid, one of the teams with the highest tradition in world football, together with Fundación ARMID work to contribute to those in need in the country by supporting various social causes as well as and awaken young children’s interest in football. Following their motto “Train like the best” the school is designed to improve the players individual skills and awareness levels with the guidance of Mr. González and a group of certified trainers during the training sessions here in Casa. Plus, they will not only enjoy a great experience learning how to play football like their idols, but they also will share and learn their values: respect, teamwork, transparency, solidarity, commitment, equality, and motivation.

If you are interested in enrolling one of your future football stars you can still do so! Parents are also encouraged to be part of this unique experience with their children and are welcome to come to the football sessions to see their kids progress. Don’t let your kids miss out on this opportunity!
