Every year the Saint John School in La Romana celebrates a fabulous Family Fair. The 2019 Family Day was dedicated to all life on the farm with horses, cows, goats, planting vegetables, inflatable games, a zipline, a photo booth, contests, raffles, dance, live music, and many surprises! Many children and their families turned out for an afternoon of fun and games at the Buena Vista Sur baseball field.
The day was filled from start to finish with a constant flow of past and present students and their families, who came to celebrate this fun-filled event. The Colegio Saint John’s Parent-Teacher Association outdid themselves, but they did have some help. The students from 8th -11th grade took part in hosting the event by having bakes sales, pony rides, face painting and other amazing activities that revolved around the main theme, Farm animals, designed to foster love and respect towards animals, by creating an emotional bond, care, and preservation of all lives.
Undoubtedly, Farm Day was a great success and a really fun time for the children and families of the La Romana and Casa de Campo communities.
Hopefully, we’ll see more families joining in next year! Congratulations to Hilda Alvarez school principal, the parent association and the Colegio St. John!
