On January 20th, the Casa de Campo community got together in La Morela for the first Night For The Kids of this year, welcoming friends back from their exciting holiday vacations, everyone budding with excitement to rejoin the must-attend monthly social scene that has become NFTK.
Night for the Kids unites Casa de Campo members for an evening of drinks, cigars and appetizers to raise funds for the children from Hogar del Niño.
As a newcomer in Casa de Campo, I was very happy to see how many showed up to a wonderful cause, and I was thrilled to be part of it. Guests had the chance to enjoy the award-winning cigar, # 2 on the 2015 Halfwheel.com Best 25 Cigars of the Year, La Flor Knox from Tabacalera de Garcia. It has sweet floral notes but yet strong hint of nuts and black pepper, very nice smoke for relaxing evening.
Elegant Campari cocktails were passed around along with very tasty mini burgers, mini fish tacos and grilled chicken skewers! It was a wonderful warm evening to meet friends and remember the children of Hogar del Niño.
Contributions will go to the addition of more Montessori classrooms! What an excellent cause. Don’t miss the opportunity to go to next month’s gathering!
Unfortunately, while we always take pictures at Night for the Kids, our photographer was unable to attend last minute, and we were so happy mingling and having fun that we forgot to take some!!! I guess it says a lot about how good the evening went. Our apologies this time around, we promise to bring you more great and awesome pictures during the next Night for the Kids!
