After 6 months, the hurricane season is finally over!!

No more storm alerts, no more headaches! It’s time for many more pleasant, warm and sunny days to enjoy Minitas beach, a round of golf on the Teeth of the Dog or any of the other sporting activities offered in Casa de Campo!

Hurricane Season

As the Dominican Republic is located in the Caribbean, it is located in an area which during Hurricane season is affected by tropical depressions and tropical storms and very rarely hurricanes. The Hurricane season lasts for 6 months, starting from the 1st of June and ending on the 3oth of November – that’s TODAY! Hurrah

 The Chavón River is flooded!

Now that hurricane season is over, if you are somewhere in the United States or another country where the weather is pretty cold – you can always come to Casa de Campo La Romana and celebrate a “tropical” Christmas or holiday season, especially now that the cruises like the “Costa Luminosa” are finally arriving and Jetblue is now flying twice weekly from New York to the La Romana – Casa de Campo airport!
