This Saturday the 8th of January, Casa de Campo Living kicked off the events and activities schedule for 2011 in great style with the 2nd annual ‘Feria Barlovento’ – a Venetian Festival in the Marina Casa de Campo!
The event, organised by Casa de Campo Living in conjunction with the Marina Casa de Campo united over 600 Casa de Campo villa owners, residents, tourists and guests, who spent a magical evening enjoying the music, food, drinks, festival atmosphere and of course perusing and shopping at the Marina Casa de Campo shops, before settling down at one of the Marina Casa de Campo’s popular restaurants such as Chinois or Limoncello.Sully Martinez poses with 4 masked beauties!
In typical ‘Venetian Festival’ style many guests were masked with brightly colored, be-jeweled and feather masks, whilst a few others went ‘all out’ in complete Venetian Costume to compete in the costume contest sponsored by Limoncello, Chinois and the Cygalle Healing Spa – photos and the winners of the contest will be announced soon!
As part of the festival we held our first ‘Costumed Puppy Parade’, which was so popular it is an activity we will definitely repeat in the future! The ‘Costumed Puppy Parade’ sponsored by PetPlaza (www.petplaza.com.do) had 5 doggie competitors and 1 cat (or dog dressed as a cat) – all our photos of the adorable doggies, the parade and the winners will be announced soon!
Many thanks to all the Marina Casa de Campo businesses for their excellent participation, which helped us create such a fun and interesting Festival atmosphere.
