The Dominican Golf Federation (Fedogolf) will formally start the 12th edition of the DR Open Amateur 2022 in Casa de Campo, where more than 150 players, 120 foreigners, will take part starting this Monday.

Fedogolf will welcome golfers from the United States, Argentina, Guadeloupe, and Colombia, where their host the Dominican Republic at the Casa de Campo Learning Center, the institution said in a press release.

The tournament will be played from Tuesday to Thursday at the Teeth of the Dog, The Links, and Dye Fore golf courses, with the primary sponsorship of Mastercard Banreservas. Casa de Campo, Emilio’s, Brugal, and Light Sky will also give support.

The welcome cocktail will be attended by players, part of the organizers of the event, including Rafael Canario, director of the event; Carlos Elmúdesi, president of Fedogolf; as well as directors of Casa de Campo, sponsors, and special guests.

Rafael Canario indicated that the event is oriented towards the international market, conceived by Fedogolf, in the interest of developing golf tourism in the country, particularly in the Eastern Zone, where there are 15 golf courses with a premium quality standard.
