Naeem Khan’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection took center stage at the illustrious Fundación MIR Magical Splendor Gala, a highly anticipated fashion extravaganza that captivated Casa de Campo’s community and global visitors. Hosted by the esteemed Raysa and Alfy Fanjul, the event saw plenty of residents and guests adorned in elegant cocktail attire, dining and dancing the night away and celebrating another successful year.
Fundación MIR greeted guests as they entered the Fanjul family home and made their way to the courtyard, where they posed for plenty of photos (see the gallery below!!) and sipped on champagne and cocktails.
At 9 p.m., attendees congregated at the dinner area. Renata Soñé, serving as emcee, welcomed Alfy Fanjul, Lian Fanjul de Azqueta, and Lyanne Azqueta to the stage. “We want to thank all of you for being here and all the support you give us year after year. We are proud of the work and effort of our students and their achievements. But none of this would have been possible without the generosity, input, and support of all of you.” stated Lyanne.
The student choir from Fundación MIR graced the event with their harmonious performance before the start of the fashion show. This year also featured a fashion show designed by MIR students made with beautiful fabrics donated by Naeem Khan. Following their presentation, the runway came alive with beautiful dresses, from intricate embroidery and vibrant princess dresses to ethereal wedding gowns; Khan’s designs showcased a diverse array of styles, captivating the audience with their elegance and flair.
At the event, guests participated in an auction of Khan’s exquisite creations, which helped to support the noble cause championed by Fundación MIR. The evening ended with a celebration as attendees danced to the vibrant rhythms of Dekadas and DJ Louder. The spirit of camaraderie and generosity defined the festivities, making it a memorable night for all.
For over three decades, Fundación MIR has been at the vanguard of promoting comprehensive education and healthcare initiatives, empowering students with vocational skills and nurturing a pathway to academic excellence and professional advancement. Beyond the glamour and grandeur, the gala served as a poignant reminder of the transformative impact of education, solidarity, and philanthropy in enriching the lives of La Romana’s youth.
A big thanks to the Fundación MIR, along with Alfy and Raysa Fanjul, who outdid themselves again this year in a wonderful night of charity and fun.
