The first edition of the Latin American Fashion Awards is set to take place on November 4th, 2023, at the iconic Altos de Chavón Amphitheater in Casa de Campo, Dominican Republic. Its mission is to honor the region’s heritage, celebrate diversity and inclusion, and bolster the future of the most outstanding Latin American talent, helping to shape the fashion industry.

The event is the brainchild of Co-Founders Constanza Etro and Silvia Argüello, who have spent the last three years bringing the project to fruition. Constanza Etro, named “one of the most influential women in Italy” by Forbes Italia in 2020, is a successful businesswoman passionate about promoting young talent, sustainability, and empowering women within fashion and cinema. Silvia Argüello, a designer of Cuban-Nicaraguan descent, has over 20 years of experience in the fashion industry and is passionate about contemporary art and fashion.
The Latin American Fashion Awards is a biennial ceremony providing a global platform for promoting the best Latin American talent, honoring the work of preeminent designers, brands, models, photographers, directors, and more. The project involves over twenty countries, with two strategic headquarters in the Dominican Republic and Milan.

The award categories celebrating Latin American talent worldwide include Designer of the Year, Brand of the Year, Emerging Designer of the Year, Responsible Project of the Year, Fashion Photographer of the Year, and more.
To ensure the global visibility of its participants, the final jury will consist of esteemed industry personalities and experts from Latin American and international backgrounds. The jury will be unveiled on March 23rd, 2023, in Milan.
The prestigious resorts of Casa de Campo and Puntacana Resort & Club, from November 2nd to 5th, 2023, will host the Awards’ celebrations. The event will also include a live music performance.
The launch of the Latin American Fashion Awards is made possible thanks to the unconditional support of the Founding Partners from the host country: Alyon, Grupo Rizek, Ron Barceló, Casa de Campo, Grupo Puntacana, Casas del XVI, and Banco Popular Dominicano. Open call submissions will begin on February 8th, 2023 until May 15th, 2023 and news and updates can be found via Instagram @latinamericanfashionawards.
