Last Friday the 12th of August, the night before the Fundación MIR Family Weekend for Life event (click here for photos), the Casa de Campo community enjoyed a ‘Maridaje’ or ‘pairing’ featuring port, chocolate and cigars at the Casa Montecristo in Altos de Chavón.

The event took place on the cobbled courtyard outside the Casa Montecristo store and cigar lounge in Altos de Chavón, Casa de Campo, where Casa de Campo’s ladies and gentlemen were treated to glasses of Graham’s Port (the most delicious Scottish port, which just happens to be one of my favorites), nibbles of ‘KAH KOW’ Dominican chocolate as well as a selection of fine Dominican cigars, which had been hand-rolled in the world’s largest cigar factory, the ‘Tabacalera de Garcia’ – which is located just 5 minutes outside of Casa de Campo in La Romana.

It was a fantastic evening and it was awesome to finally discover some delicious fine chocolate made in the Dominican Republic! I absolutely loved ‘KAH KOW‘ – now we just have to find out from where we can buy it! Does anyone know? It was sooo good – I want some more! About the Tabacalera de Garcia The Tabacalera de Garcia, established in 1971 is the world’s largest hand-rolled cigar factory with a long and varied history, making it an absolute must place to visit – whether you are a cigar lover or a casual aficionado!
