The Toros del Este mascot, the La Romana baseball team, was invited by the organization of the Latin America Amateur Championship (LAAC) to encourage the local players who will participate starting this Thursday in the golf championship for amateurs in the region and that for the third time takes place in Teeth of the Dog, Casa de Campo. “It is very special to be able to play a tournament as important as the Latin America Amateur Championship in my country, on a course that I like, where I have played a lot and where I feel very comfortable. Also, I will have the presence of my family and that is a nice feeling. The court is spectacular, it makes you play all kinds of shots. Regarding my game, the LAAC comes to me at the right time, I’m comfortable with my swing and that gives me confidence”, said Juan Cayro Delgado, who finished in 15th place in the 2019 edition in Casa de Campo, his best performance at the LAAC. Cayro Delgado, Rhadamés Peña, Marcel Olivares, Julio Ríos Brache, Rodrigo Sánchez and Enrique Valverde are the six players who will represent the host country and received encouragement from the “Torito del Este” in search of the golden dream.
