On Monday the 28th of December, a group of children from the Politécnico MIR Esperanza and the Politécnico Fundacion MIR schools came to Altos de Chavon to perform in a traditional Christmas nativity play.
The show began at 6.30pm, with the arrival of Mary on a donkey being led by Joseph across the Altos de Chavon plaza. The play involved not only the traditional birth of Jesus story, but was also accompanied by theFundacionMIR‘s girl’s choir who sung a number of Christmas carols.
Following the show, cookies, hot chocolate and ginger tea were on sale, with all profits going to the FundacionMIR charity.
The activity was a great success and it will without doubt become an annual event!

Este año se llevo acabo el Nacimiento Viviente MIR 2009, en Altos de Chavon. El evento se llevo acabo gracias a la participación de los estudiantes del Politécnico MIR
Esperanza y el Politécnico Fundacion MIR.
Ellos representaron de una manera muy amena el nacimiento del Niño Jesús, acompañado por las niñas del coro de la escuela.
Este sera sin duda el primero de muchos Nacimientos Vivientes MIR!
