As part of the Dueños 2011 event hosted by Costasur and Casa de Campo last weekend on the 4th and 5th of November, the IMG Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy came to Casa de Campo and hosted a series of free tennis clinics for adults and children at the La Terraza Tennis Club.
The tennis clinics were scheduled to take place all day Friday the 4th and Saturday the 5th of November, but sadly due to the unusually torrential rain we experienced on Friday, clinics only took place on Saturday – but were nevertheless hugely successful with more than 50 kids and about 20 adults taking part.

Casa de Campo’s little ones took part in a grueling yet fun 3 hour clinic from 9am to 12pm, during which broken down into small groups according to age and ability they learnt new techniques to improve their performance in ever posible way and played fun mini games to foster competition between their peers. At the end of the session all the groups came together and played in a fun competition, with each player aiming to hit a group of cones, every time a cone was hit the successful player won a prize!
In the afternoon, Casa de Campo’s adult tennis fanatics took part in the adult clinic, performing drills and exercising to improve their technique and banish bad habits as well as playing mini-games just as the children did in the morning.
