On Monday October 27th, the 5th annual DR Amateur Open teed off here in Casa de Campo and will be played through to Saturday November 1st.
This important annual competition is being held on Casa de Campo’s world-famous golf courses; Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore and The Links.
More than 110 golfers from the Dominican Republic, the United States, Canada and Argentina have come to the Casa de Campo resort to compete in the 5th edition of this tournament, which aims to promote the Dominican Republic as a leading golf destination in the Caribbean and in other parts of the world.
The tournament is being played in a “Stableford” format. The mens division has an age limit of 49 years-old and is divided into four categories; A, B, C, D. The age range for the senior division is from 50 to 59 years-old, and is broken down into three categories; A, B, C. The super senior division is for players age 60 and over. There are also two divisions for female players: women 49 years-old and under (womens division) and women of 50 years-old and over (ladies division).
All is set for a week of golf around Casa de Campo, and may the best win!
