Being one of the most emblematic venues in the country, Casa de Campo Resort® & Villas celebrates the four decades anniversary of Altos de Chavón with a tribute to the great Frank Sinatra, starring guest artists and a big band just like the one that accompanied the artist 40 years ago in its inaugural presentation.
When?
Scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 22 at the Altos de Chavón amphitheater, the orchestra will be the Big Band “Santo Domingo Pops”, made up of 16 musicians and under the production and musical direction of Amaury Sánchez, adding the artists Máximo Martínez, Héctor Aníbal, Laura Rivera and José Guillermo Cortines, who will present 22 songs of the Jazz Standard genre, such as “Strangers in the night”, “My Way”, “New York, New York”, “Come Fly With Me”, “I Got You Under My Skin”, “Something Stupid” and “My Kind Of Town”, among others that have been selected to have a great and memorable night.
“For me it is more than a pleasure to pay this tribute to one of the greatest artists of all time. We will use the original arrangements of Sinatra’s songs, for which we have paid the international rights for the use of his music, and we will also have a big bang orchestra on stage. It is a very fun and lively show, since the guests will not only interpret the songs very much in the style of Sinatra, but also personify the multifaceted figure of the famous artist”.

40th anniversary
It should be noted that in addition to the concert “Sinatra, the tribute”, interesting activities will be carried out within the framework of this anniversary, including the exhibition “40 laps in the sun”, from October 21 to November 21 at the Art Gallery, and the concert with Wilfrido Vargas at the Amphitheater on November 5, paying homage to the fact that he was the first Dominican merengue player to put on a show on this stage.
